You awake in a dark cave, with nothing but one match. Time keeps passing, but the sun never comes up. All you have to keep you warm is the fire in your cave. How long can you survive?

------------------------------------

If you are having lag/audio issues, ensure your hardware acceleration in your browser has been turned on.

------------------------------------

Gone Dark is a game where you must travel to various locations to keep a fire alive. There is a nearby forest and lake where you can gather fuel for your fire, food, and water. You just last as long as possible, while trying to figure out what happened to the sun.

I really like the game for the type of game you were making you nailed the important parts great ambient design and "open narative" were the player is left to wonder whats going on

Thank you! :)

Being able to fullscreen the game would be extremely helpful for those of us with high-resolution screens. The glaring white background of the itch.io page and the super dark game make it nearly impossible to see anything. Maybe you could function to highlight the things that can be interacted with to help differentiate between the background and objects.

Love the music and ambiance, they definitely fit the "shadow" part of the theme. I got stuck and couldn't really figure out what to do or where to go after I found some food in the forest. Not sure if there's objects I was missing or what.

Don't forget your GDD!

Thanks for your feedback! There's still a bit of time before submissions close, so I'll see about looking at some of those things before I submit the game! :D
